There is nothing more uncomfortable than finding things to write about yourself. Why couldn't Myspace still be a thing? I could just use one of those survey's to tell you about myself. I'm sure you want to know my favorite color (green), pop or soda (soda), and my first boyfriend's middle name (Lee). I'll go with the basics I guess. I'm in my late 20's, married to my high school sweetheart, and a mother of two beautiful daughters. A year ago I self published my first novel, The Reality of Second Chances and am currently working on my second, Lake Pleasant. This podcast was my brain child and a great way to make sure I get out and socialize (if you call driving ten minutes away from my house, sometimes in my pajamas, to hang out with only Jessica who is also in her pajamas, socializing.) The human race gives me major anxiety so I come off as kind of a bitch (that's probably why my circle is so small). My brain is constantly swimming with irrational fears (Episode 9) and I have a strange talent for almost always being right (no matter what you hear to the contrary)
Ps. Jessica said my myspace line is outdated. Outdated references say a lot about me as well.
We are two women who really enjoy a good Cocktail, an even better read, and all things pop culture. Jessica is a newlywed, mother of one, full time student, and part time phone survey goddess. Elizabeth is a wife, mother of two, a stay at home mother by day and a bad ass novelist by night. We are both fast witted smart asses who have been having a great time together for the last 17 years.
Warning! Do not call me Lizzie! A name I always hated, yet Jess never stopped using it so she gets a pass.
Hello, hello! Welcome to Cocktails and Centaurs. I wish I could take the credit for this awesome podcast but Lizzie is the genius behind that. So instead I’ll just tell you a few other reasons why I am so f*cking cool. I am 28 going on 29, mother of an incredible, smart, funny, beautiful demon child who will be turning 3 in May. I just married the love of my life last September, after a quick courting period of 12 ½ years. I am outgoing, friendly, and have terrible road rage. My daughter has learned all her best curse words that way. I grew up loving to write and I still love the idea of it, but have had some hardcore writer’s block for going on 13 years now. I am really bad at finishing projects. I got this great idea for a blog and even wrote a couple hilarious (toot, toot) articles, and it was a blast…and then I just didn’t do it anymore. Oh, and I really really love doing this podcast. This has been such a fun ride ever since we started, with no real idea if it would go anywhere. Weeeell…that’s only the tip of the iceberg on my awesomeness but I think it’ll do for now! Oh…and it’s me that has the uncanny ability of always being right. Sometimes Liz gets confused.
